Every time you attend an event, buy a raffle ticket, or donate to our scholarship, you help local students realize their dreams of attending Auburn University. The Los Angeles Auburn Club awards one annual scholarship each year thanks to the generosity of our members. Incoming Auburn students from Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties are eligible; all you have to do is apply through AUSOM once you have been accepted to Auburn. These scholarships are awarded by Auburn University on a variety of criteria and make a great impact on incoming students. No one from the Los Angeles Auburn Club participates in selecting recipients.
Your employer may double or even triple your gift to Auburn University. Your employer’s Human Resources department can provide details and the matching gift form to include with your check.
Ralph’s Community Contribution Program
Through Ralph’s grocery stores, we have a very easy way for your to support our club scholarship. All you need to do is a become a member of Ralph’s Community Contribution Program!
Just register your rewards card and choose Auburn University Foundation (#TN409) as the non-profit you would like to support. After you register, Ralph’s will donate a percentage (up to 4%) of qualifying purchases to our Los Angeles Auburn club scholarship.
Giving to the Auburn University Foundation
The Auburn University Foundation receives all charitable contributions made in support of and to benefit Auburn University and Auburn University at Montgomery. The foundation, established in 1960 and led by a volunteer board of directors, works in cooperation with Auburn University’s fundraising professionals in its Office of Development. Their combined efforts include seeking philanthropic support to enhance quality faculty and instruction, advance academic and student programs, and increase scholarships and fellowships.
The Auburn University Foundation is a separate and distinct nonprofit organization, charged by the Auburn University president to ensure all donations made to Auburn University and Auburn University at Montgomery benefit the institutions as intended, and to manage the universities’ endowments so as to provide a perpetual source of funding for their future. It is incorporated as an Alabama nonprofit corporation and certified by the Internal Revenue Service as a qualified charitable organization. Gifts to the foundation, listed in IRS Publication 78, Cumulative List of Organizations and described in Code 10(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are tax deductible as permitted by law. The foundation has met certain standards and requirements of the Internal Revenue Service within the meaning of IRS Code Sec. 501(c)(3). The foundation’s Tax Exempt Identification Number is 63-6022422.
